- The Ministry of Industry and Trade has prepared new measures to support manufacturers of games and toys
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has developed new measures to support domestic manufacturers of games and toys. This was announced on May 12 by the head of the department Anton Alikhanov.
"We are currently redistributing these resources between accounting expenses, and we plan to direct them to several new support measures," RIA Novosti quoted the minister as saying.
According to him, the industry's support is planned to be implemented this year at the expense of the ministry's internal resources. One of the new measures will be compensation for the cost of acquiring licenses for the use of images of Russian cartoon characters in the production of children's games and toys.
In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is working on a mechanism for financial support for the promotion of industry products in the media and on the Internet. As Alikhanov noted, it is planned to use an approach similar to the measures that were previously used in the cosmetics industry.
Anton Alikhanov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, announced on April 2 that approximately 46 thousand domestically produced cars were sold in Russia in the first quarter of 2026 at a discount under demand support programs. He noted that there are no plans to change the terms of the programs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to keep them in 2026 and not raise the ceiling on the cost of a car above 2 million rubles.
