- The Russian Foreign Ministry announced Moscow's proposal to Yerevan to build a powerful nuclear power plant in Armenia.
Russia has proposed to Armenia to build a high-capacity nuclear power plant that will be able to provide the country with cheap electricity for decades to come. Mikhail Kalugin, Director of the Fourth CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said this in an interview with TASS on May 12.
"Russia is a global leader in the field of nuclear technologies and can always transfer its achievements and experience to Armenia," Kalugin stressed.
