- Blogger Lercek spoke about the treatment of stage four stomach cancer. What is known
The fiance of blogger Lerchek (Valeria Chekalina) Luis Squicciarini defended his beloved after the debate about her health broke out on social networks again. The reason was the pictures he published, in which Chekalina looks energetic while walking around the eco-farm. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
Squicciarini stood up for Lercek
Squicciarini explained that Chekalina was in a wheelchair because of the pain - the metastases had damaged her spine. Surgeons operated on the most affected vertebra to reduce the risk of fracture. Thanks to the treatment, primarily radiation therapy, the number of metastases decreased, and the condition of the bones improved, which is why doctors not only allowed, but also recommended physical activity.
Chasing sports is not prohibited. According to the groom, the blogger's immunological parameters are normal, and the attending physician approved of outdoor walks. He also considered the presence of animals on the farm to be safe.
"Clinical guidelines indicate that contact with animals should be encouraged when the patient's condition allows it, taking into account the benefits for the quality of life," he cited the arguments of doctors.
Squicciarini admitted that he had lost two loved ones from cancer — an uncle and a brother, and understands people who have questions about such publications. He blamed bloggers and YouTubers for inciting controversy.
"If I saw someone playing with it, I would be very upset too. The problem is not with these people, but with bloggers and YouTubers who use their anger to create hatred and attract attention," he said.
The scandal at the fitness club
The debate about the blogger's health is not the first. Earlier, Alina Raskovskaya, a visitor to the Moscow fitness club, took off the Check in the locker room and posted the footage online. According to her, Lercek was going out after a workout and drinking protein at that moment, although she had recently written on her blog that she had left for chemotherapy. Raskovskaya added that she filmed from the back and without a face.
"I took a picture of her without her face, it was from the back. I saw Lercek at the gym — she was coming out after a workout and drinking protein, in a completely normal state. And in her blog, she indicated that she had left a few hours ago for a chemotherapy procedure," she explained.
The club administration terminated the contract with Raskovskaya for violating internal rules. Lawyer Sergey Zhorin in a conversation with Woman.ru He warned that publishing other people's photos without consent could result in a criminal case for violating privacy or revealing personal secrets, up to two years in prison.
"Depending on the content and context of the publication, posting photos without consent may be considered not only as a violation of the right to an image under art. 152.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, but also as an illegal interference with privacy, since art. 152.2 of the Civil Code prohibits the collection, storage, dissemination and use of information about his private life without the consent of a citizen," — said Zhorin.
Treatment and rehabilitation
Chekalina was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer with multiple metastases. She is undergoing treatment at the Blokhin National Medical Oncology Research Center. The course is designed for nine stages and combines chemotherapy with immunotherapy — by this point, the blogger has completed four of them.
"Today I have the fourth chemistry out of nine. This means that almost half of the way is done. I'm not going to be a hero and say that I always feel good and perfect," Lercek told subscribers.
At the same time, she is recovering from spinal surgery and a course of radiation therapy. With the permission of the doctors, she took up swimming and dancing. The illness became the basis for the suspension of the court case against Chekalina.
Cosmetic brand and support
The treatment did not stop the blogger's business activity. She launched the Eyya Skin cosmetics brand and starred in an advertising campaign without a wig in support of women with cancer.
During therapy, the blogger is supported by relatives, including fiance Luis Squicciarini and photographer Georgy Kamaev. According to friends, family support helps her cope with the stress of treatment.
"And I want to live a very long time to see my children grow up. I want to become a grandmother, to be so old with a wand. I really want to reach that age. I believe in it," the blogger emphasized.
