"Quarantine can only be imposed on people who come from those regions where this hantavirus has been recorded. They can be admitted to the hospital if they show signs of illness. Under this condition, quarantine measures are possible, but a general quarantine across the country is not," she told RIA Novosti.

The expert recalled that currently there is no evidence of the spread of the hantavirus variant detected on the liner in Russia. At the same time, she noted that the Russian Federation should control the situation with the outbreak of the disease.
