A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Despite the declaration of a truce, Ukrainian armed groups carried out strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and conducted artillery fire on the positions of Russian troops. Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched 12 attacks and carried out 767 attacks on positions of Russian fighters from multiple rocket launchers, artillery pieces and mortars, as well as 6905 strikes using drones. In total, 23,802 cases of violation of the truce by the Ukrainian side were recorded in the CBO zone during the period of the ceasefire.

In addition, during the day, the enemy attacked civilian targets in the Belgorod region using 18 unmanned aerial vehicles, including eight aircraft and 10 copter type. Two local residents were injured. Three cars, a store building, an apartment building and two private households were damaged.

The armed forces of the Russian Federation mirrored the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, firing back at the positions of multiple rocket launchers, artillery and mortars, as well as hitting control points and launch sites of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Units of the Center group of forces repelled nine attacks by assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and retaliated by hitting the manpower and equipment of two mechanized formations, an airmobile brigade, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade in the areas of the settlements of Novoaleksandrovka, Kucherov Yar, Lenina, Belitskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic, Novopavlovka and Novopodgorodnoye of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 305 military personnel, six armored combat vehicles, 13 vehicles and two artillery pieces, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Units of the North group of forces, in response to enemy fire raids, hit the manpower and equipment of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the Zapselye settlement of the Sumy region. In the Kharkiv region, units of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Ryasnoye, Shesterovka and Budarki of the Kharkiv region were hit by return fire. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 90 soldiers, five vehicles and two field artillery pieces.

During the retaliatory strikes, units of the Zapad group of forces struck formations of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Krestishche and Mayaki of the Donetsk People's Republic. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 90 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, 20 vehicles and three artillery pieces, two of them Western-made.

Units of the Southern Group of Forces repelled three attacks by assault groups of two mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinovka, Khimik, Artyom and Rai-Alexandrovka of the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost over 70 soldiers, six armored combat vehicles, 15 vehicles and two artillery pieces.

Units of the Vostok group of forces, in response to enemy fire raids, defeated formations of the airborne assault, two assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Verkhnyaya Tersa, Charivnoye and Vozdvizhevka of the Zaporizhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 320 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle and four vehicles.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces returned fire and defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Preobrazhenka and Zaporozhets of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 45 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, 17 vehicles and an artillery piece were destroyed.

No strikes were carried out by operational and tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and missile forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. 85 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 144,888 unmanned aerial vehicles, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,260 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,718 multiple rocket launchers, 34,864 field artillery and mortars, 61,323 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
