Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attempted to cross the Psel River in armored vehicles in the Sumy region, but the operation ended unsuccessfully. This was reported on May 11 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

In the area of the village of Zapselye, a group of attack aircraft of the 21st separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army tried to cross the Psel River with the help of FPV drones.

"A group of Ukrainian attack aircraft from the 21st infantry Brigade tried to cross the Psel River in body armor," the security forces told RIA Novosti.

According to the agency's interlocutor, the forcing was unsuccessful. Several Ukrainian militants drowned, the rest fled in the opposite direction, he said.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the paratroopers of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Airborne Unit congratulated the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

The specially prepared leaflets with congratulatory text also emphasized the steady advance of the Russian Armed Forces and the blocking of any attempts at counterattacks by the Ukrainian army. The enemy soldiers were made clear that, given the overwhelming superiority of the Russian military, the only way to save their lives was to voluntarily surrender.
