A court in Cyprus has granted a US request for Actulaev's extradition.

The District Court of the Cypriot province of Larnaca has granted a US request for the extradition of Russian citizen Serazhudin Actulaev, who is accused of cyberbullying. This was announced on May 11 at the Russian Embassy in Nicosia.

"A court in the Republic of Cyprus has granted the US Department of Justice's request for the extradition of Russian citizen Serazhudin Actulaev," the diplomatic mission told RIA Novosti.

The Russian arrived in Cyprus about a year ago to attend the wedding of one of his family members. He was taken into custody at Larnaca International Airport on May 22, 2025. The Cyprus police said at the time that Actulaev's arrest was based on a request from the United States.

Actulaev, in turn, emphasizes that he is not aware of the charges against him and does not consider himself guilty. The Russian is being held in Nicosia Central Prison. The staff of the Russian Embassy provides him with all necessary assistance, including consular assistance, and ensures his contacts with relatives.
