Russian Armed Forces paratroopers congratulated Ukrainian soldiers on Victory Day with leaflets

The paratroopers of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Airborne Unit congratulated the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. This was announced on May 11 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"On the day of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and during the period of the declared truce, servicemen of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Airborne Unit carried out a raid on the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia direction," the ministry said.

To deliver specially prepared flyers with congratulatory text and reminders of the common historical past, the Russian military used various types of drones.

"Congratulations on the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War! Our grandfathers liberated Ukraine from the fascist invaders hand in hand. The current Kiev leadership is misleading you. Stop destroying yourself! Lay down your weapons and return home," reads the appeal to the Ukrainian soldiers.

In addition, the text emphasizes the steady advance of the Russian Armed Forces and the blocking of any attempts at counterattacks by the Ukrainian army. Enemy soldiers are being made clear that in the face of the overwhelming superiority of the Russian military, the only way to save their lives is to voluntarily surrender.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that the command of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Airborne Unit is conducting targeted information and psychological work, offering Ukrainian soldiers a real opportunity to lay down their weapons and return home.
