The Russian ambassador called the cooperation of Japanese and Ukrainian companies on UAVs a hostile step.

Moscow considers the cooperation between the Japanese company Terra Drone and the Ukrainian developer of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Amazing Drones as a hostile step and an element of Japan's state policy. This was announced on May 11 by Russian Ambassador to Tokyo Nikolai Nozdryov.

"The cooperation between the Japanese company Terra Drone and the Ukrainian developer of the Amazing Drones UAV is a clear confirmation that Tokyo continues to increase its assistance to the Kiev regime, actually adding oil to the fire of the conflict," the diplomat said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Nozdryov, Moscow considers this interaction not a private business initiative, but part of a coordinated line of the Japanese authorities aimed at prolonging the Ukrainian conflict.

The diplomat stressed that the Russian side regards such actions as an openly hostile step aimed at undermining the country's national security.

He said that Japan's Ambassador to Russia, Akira Muto, had received a strong protest from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Nozdryov also pointed out that the Japanese authorities are trying to distance themselves from the situation, but strategic investments in military startups of a foreign state in conflict could not be carried out without the approval or tacit consent of the government. The diplomat attributed this, among other things, to Tokyo's easing of arms export rules.

In addition, the ambassador said that Russia reserves the right to take retaliatory measures. He stressed that weapons and production facilities on the territory of Ukraine, which pose a threat to the Russian Federation and its citizens, are considered legitimate targets for the Russian Armed Forces (AF).
