In response to the US proposal to resolve the conflict, Iran emphasized the immediate cessation of the war and the lifting of US sanctions. This was reported on May 11 by the Tasnim news agency, citing a source.

"Iran has stressed the need to lift OFAC (U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions. — Ed.) regarding the sale of Iranian oil within 30 days," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that Tehran also insists on ending the naval blockade, unblocking Iranian assets and maintaining control over the Strait of Hormuz.

On May 5, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the American operation Epic Fury against Iran has been completed. Later, American leader Donald Trump announced the suspension of the Freedom Project mission in the Strait of Hormuz in order to find out whether the conflicting parties would be able to sign an agreement.

The US Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Mike Waltz, announced on May 10 that Trump is ready to resume diplomacy with Iran, despite the fact that the parties continue to exchange blows.
