The expert named the categories of pensioners eligible for a pension increase in June

In June, pensioners who turned 80 in May will be able to receive increased pensions, as well as citizens with an established first disability group, who have become dependents or have completed their work. This was announced on May 11 by Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

"In June, a number of categories of citizens will have the opportunity to receive an increased pension," she told RIA Novosti.

According to the expert, the fixed payment as part of the insurance pension will increase to 19,169.38 rubles for citizens who turned 80 in May or who were assigned a group I disability. A nursing allowance of 1,413.86 rubles is also provided for the disabled of the first group.

Finogenova clarified that the increase in the fixed payment is assigned only once and for one reason. If a citizen has already received a disability pension of group I, there will be no additional increase after reaching the age of 80. Working pensioners who quit in May can also expect to receive an increase. An increased pension, taking into account all missed indexations, is usually paid at the beginning of the month following the dismissal, if the Social Fund of Russia makes a positive decision.

It clarifies that starting in June, pensioners who have dependents and who have submitted an application to the SFR can receive additional payments. We are talking, in particular, about children under the age of 18, children with disabilities from 18 to 23 years old, as well as brothers, sisters and grandchildren under the age of 18. The expert explained that the supplement is added to the fixed part of the pension for each dependent, but not more than three people. Both retired parents can receive such payments, regardless of whether they continue to work.

Nina Gukasova, director of the program of the FMCF for improving financial literacy of the population of the IGSU Presidential Academy of the RANEPA, announced on April 25 that working pensioners in Russia, whose seniority fell during the period of freezing indexation from 2016 to 2024, will be able to receive automatic recalculation of pensions after dismissal. The specialist explained that upon completion of work, the amount of pension payments is adjusted taking into account all indexations that were not applied during the period of work activity.
