Russia named the most popular films on Victory Day

The most watched film on the platform on Victory Day in 2026 was the war drama "Blood Type". This was reported to Izvestia on May 10 by the RUTUBE analytical center.

In second place in popularity was the film "In August of the 44th", and the third place in terms of views was taken by the film "Officers" (1971) in the color version. Last year, such films as "Podolsk Cadets", "Heavenly Tardigrade" and "Demolition" became the leaders in views on May 9.

"The Great Victory Day unites all of us, regardless of nationality or occupation. Many gather as families or watch their favorite war movies individually on TV and on other devices. Users' interest in content about the Great Patriotic War traditionally increases on Victory Day. The library of art and documentary content dedicated to the events of the war years continues to expand on the platform, including both Soviet classics and modern projects," Sergey Kosinsky, Deputy General Director of Gazprom Media Holding and head of digital assets, told Izvestia.

In addition, in 2026, new thematic releases and special collections for Victory Day were presented on the site, as well as exclusive content from the PREMIER online cinema and archival materials based on historical chronicles.
