A large-scale fire recorded in the forest of the Chernobyl exclusion zone in Ukraine has not been extinguished since May 8. This was announced on May 10 by the press service of the country's State Emergency Service (SES).

"A large-scale forest fire is being extinguished in the exclusion zone. As of 10:00 a.m., the fire covered 1.2 thousand hectares — dry weather and sharp gusts of wind contribute to the spread of the fire," the Telegram channel said.
