Russians have the right to demand compensation for moral damage if their photo was published without consent. This was announced on May 10 by Andrey Moiseev, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

"We are talking about cases of unauthorized use. Here, civil liability is applied, a person may demand the removal of a photo, as well as compensation for moral damage," the expert said in an interview with TASS.
