Russians were warned about a fraudulent scheme with holiday packages at a special price

Fraudsters began offering fake holiday packages to Russians at a special price, after which they steal money under the guise of prepayment for delivery. This was announced on May 10 in the MTS Defender service.

"According to analysts, the attackers are offering "holiday packages" at a special price, including groceries and household goods for outdoor recreation," RIA Novosti quoted the service as saying.

According to experts, the scheme is based on the desire of citizens to quickly and profitably prepare for trips to nature on warm May days. Attackers call potential victims on behalf of private companies and offer to purchase a ready-made kit. It includes groceries, barbecue products, disposable tableware and other accessories for a country holiday.

Experts recalled that legally operating companies do not require full prepayment during a telephone conversation and do not send links for making payments in SMS messages or instant messengers. If such a call is received, it is recommended to immediately stop the dialogue and not transfer funds.
