In Germany, about 20 million people may be affected by flight cancellations due to kerosene shortages.

The number of flights in Germany may decrease as a result of the fuel crisis in the country. This was announced on May 9 by the head of the Association of German Airports, Ralf Beisel.

"Especially (there may not be enough kerosene. — Ed.) by low-cost airlines and to destinations less popular among tourists," Beisel said in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt.

In addition, he noted that flight cancellations could affect about 20 million German passengers. According to him, on some routes planes may stop flying from Germany altogether, on others flights will be carried out rarely and they will cost much more.
