Putin: Europe is playing for a boost in the Ukrainian conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on May 9 that European countries are already striving to establish a dialogue with Russia, realizing the high cost of further escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

"They (the Europeans — Ed.) are "playing for a raise," but judging by what has just been said, they are already looking for contact with us. They understand that this "game of increasing" can be expensive," he said at a press conference.
