Russia has not received any signals from the White House that the United States is withdrawing from the negotiation process on Ukraine. This was announced on May 9 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He added that the American side would like to achieve faster results, but unfortunately this does not always work out.

"The negotiations are very difficult, there are a lot of details. America has said before that they would like to do it as quickly as possible, that it can be solved almost overnight. But unfortunately, this is not the case and requires a lot of effort," Peskov told the Zvezda TV channel.

Earlier in the day, Peskov noted that reaching a peace agreement to resolve the conflict in Ukraine is a very long way. At the same time, he stressed that the American side is in a hurry on the issue of peace in Ukraine.

On May 8, US President Donald Trump announced that negotiations on the Ukrainian issue were continuing. The American leader expressed hope for an early end to the fighting. At the same time, he announced that he was ready to send American negotiators to Moscow.
