Hero of Russia Dzhumagaliev called Victory in WWII hard work
It's only after you've been through several battles yourself that you begin to understand how difficult it was to win the Great Patriotic War (WWII). This was announced on May 9 by Mirlan Dzhumagaliev, Hero of Russia, Deputy commander of the 30th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade.
Now the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are once again having a hard time liberating the native Russian land from the Nazis, he noted.
"After probably only the third or fourth battle with the enemy, you begin to understand how difficult it was for our great-grandfathers, how hard and with what dedication they defended every piece of land," the military said.
Maxim Startsev, the commander of the machine-gun platoon, Hero of Russia, told Izvestia on Victory Day on May 9 that the WWII participants had performed a feat comparable to a miracle. He noted that the main thing in a war zone is not to panic. Startsev will soon return to the front and continue his work as an instructor, training new recruits.
