Malaysia's supreme ruler calls Russia a "second home"
The Supreme Ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, while on a visit to Moscow on May 9, noted that he was always pleased to return to Russia, which seemed to him like a "second home."
"Let me express my sincere gratitude for your kind invitation to Moscow to take part in the Victory Day anniversary Parade and celebrations. It is always a great pleasure for me to return to Russia, it is like my second home," he said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the talks, Putin pointed to the good development of interstate relations between Moscow and Kuala Lumpur. As the Russian leader added, the active development of trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and Malaysia is now being recorded.
Ibrahim arrived in Moscow to participate in the Victory Day celebrations. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on May 7 that the Malaysian representative had requested a personal meeting with the Russian leader. As part of the talks held in the Kremlin, the supreme leader of the Asian state invited Putin to visit the country in 2027.
