On May 9, Kirill Semenov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, told Izvestia that he wrote in a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he handed to him before the Victory Day Parade.

The WWII participant shared that he wanted to convey his gratitude to the head of state.

"He holds the country properly. The economy is growing, and the army is provided with everything necessary. The country is developing," said Semenov.
