- The military of the Russian Armed Forces congratulated veterans on Victory Day from the liberated Seversk
Soldiers of the 6th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Lysychansk Cossack Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces congratulated veterans and citizens of Russia on Victory Day in the city of Seversk, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), stressing that they would continue to carry out combat missions as selflessly as their grandfathers and great-grandfathers during the Great Patriotic War. The footage was distributed by the Russian Defense Ministry on May 9.
"Today, just like 81 years ago, we have met an enemy that we are destroying, just like our grandfathers and great-grandfathers. We remember that our strength lies in unity and loyalty to our ideals. We are worthy heirs of our generation, the generation of winners," the Russian fighters said.
The Victory Banner was also installed at the memorial to the 40th anniversary of Victory near the Seversky Dolomite Plant. It is noted that this symbol recalls the heroic past of the country and the unity of the people.
On May 8, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that participants in a special military operation (SVO) would march on the Red Square paving stones at the Victory Day Parade on May 9. The parade crews will include Hero of Russia Roman Apalkov, representing the 150th Guards Motorized Rifle Division. It is noteworthy that exactly ten years ago he already took part in the parade, as a cadet of the Moscow Military Academy.
On May 6, the ministry reported that with a solemn march, vocal performances and gifts, the military personnel of the Barnaul Rocket Compound congratulated the participants of the Second World War and home front workers on the upcoming Victory Day. Among the recipients of congratulations are Peter Egorovich Panteleev, Valentina Grigorievna Izhak and Alexander Alexandrovich Witman.
