Air defense forces destroyed eight Ukrainian UAVs over Tula region

In the Tula region, air defense systems destroyed eight unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 9 by the governor of the region Dmitry Milyaev.

"Eight more Ukrainian drones were destroyed by the air defense units of the Russian Defense Ministry," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.

The governor clarified that, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident.

Drones are mainly targeting civilians — almost 85% of the affected civilians were hit by UAVs in April.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces destroyed 44 Ukrainian UAVs over the territory of the Russian Federation from 20:00 to 00:00 Moscow time. It was clarified that the drones were shot down over the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Kaluga and Orel regions, as well as over the territories of the Tula, Lipetsk and Ryazan regions, over the Moscow region and the Sea of Azov.
