Visits to forests were restricted in the Angara region due to fire danger
On the territory of 28 forestry districts of the Irkutsk region, the stay of citizens and the entry of vehicles were temporarily restricted. This is reported by the regional government.
The restriction will last from May 8 to May 28. It is introduced at fire hazard classes IV and V and currently operates on the territory of 28 forestry districts, where the fire season was previously open.
According to Pavel Kirdyapkin, the Minister of Forestry of the region, high fire hazard classes are expected at the weekend, it will be up to +25 degrees Celsius. At the same time, snow has already fallen in almost all territories, and dry vegetation is present.
"In this regard, we are introducing restrictions on citizens staying in forests specifically for fire hazard classes IV-V," the minister explained. From grades I to III, there are no restrictions on visiting forests, IrkutskMedia news agency clarifies.
Violation of fire safety will result in a fine. For individuals, it will amount to 60 thousand rubles, for legal entities — up to 2 million.
