The number of drones shot down on approach to Moscow has reached 106

On May 7 and 8, air defense systems destroyed 106 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) heading for Moscow. This was announced on May 8 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"One UAV was shot down," Sobyanin wrote on the Maks messenger.

According to him, on May 8, the number of downed drones increased to 45. The mayor also clarified that emergency services specialists continue to work at the crash sites.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said on the same day that Russian military personnel had destroyed over 4.3 thousand UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past week. In addition, air defense systems were able to intercept 44 guided aerial bombs and destroy 18 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers in a specified period of time.
