The banning of the USSR banner in Berlin at Victory Day celebrations is a disgrace. This was announced on May 8 by Sevim Dagdelen, a foreign policy expert from the German BSW party.

The Berliner Morgenpost newspaper reported on May 4 that Berlin police would ban the display of Soviet symbols at Victory Day celebrations on May 8th and 9th. In addition, Berlin law enforcement officers will again issue orders banning commemorative actions near the Soviet memorials in Tiergarten, Treptower Park and Schoenholzer Heide.
