Putin and foreign leaders lay flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier
Russian President Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow's Alexander Garden on Victory Day on May 9.
The Russian leader was joined by foreign guests during the ceremony. Together with Putin, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and leaders of other countries paid tribute to the memory of the participants of the Great Patriotic War.
On the same morning, a parade in honor of the 81st anniversary of Victory ended on the Red Square of the capital. As part of the celebration, military personnel from military educational institutions, as well as participants in a special military operation, marched in a parade formation. The parade ended with an aerial part, during which planes of Russian aerobatic teams flew over the capital.
