Google has registered a brand for Google Developer Groups trainings in Russia

Google has registered a brand in Russia for conducting negotiations and organizing trainings called Google Developer Groups. This was confirmed on May 8 by data from the Rusprofile counterparty verification service.

So, according to them, the American corporation secured the rights to the brand until February 2035. The trademark applies to the coordination and establishment of business contacts, the organization of business and training events, trainings and workshops, and the provision of temporary online use of software development tools.

The official Google for Developers website states that Google Developer Groups is an online platform that "brings developers and technologists together to communicate, learn, and grow with Google technologies and experts." Google Developer Groups consists of two divisions: groups for student developers and established specialists who already have experience in commercial development.

Google left the Russian Federation in 2022. According to Rusprofile, the Russian legal entity Google has been in the process of bankruptcy since July 2022. The company's revenue has been zero since 2023, and profit in 2025 amounted to 470 million rubles (-48% by 2024).
