Krasnov laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow
On the eve of the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia Igor Krasnov laid flowers at the country's main war memorial in the Alexander Garden and honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.
The published footage shows how Krasnov, accompanied by department staff, lays flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier, as well as at the memorial of the hero cities. The Honor Guard of the Kremlin Regiment also marched.
The ceremony was attended by judges and deputy chairmen of the Supreme Court of Russia, heads of courts of general jurisdiction, military and arbitration courts of Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as the head of the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
On the eve of Victory Day in Naro-Fominsk on May 7, a solemn congratulation ceremony was held for WWII veterans. Warm words and musical gifts were received by veterans Nikolai Egorovich Loginov, Viktor Andreevich Blagov and Fedor Fedorovich Rykhlov. The artists of the local Palace of Culture performed for the veterans — songs of the war years were performed. Military personnel marched in front of the veterans, and young representatives of the Unarmia presented bouquets of flowers to the heroes.
