JPMorgan employee demanded huge compensation for silence about harassment

An employee who made allegations of sexual harassment against a female senior executive from JPMorgan, the largest American bank, tried to get a large sum for not disclosing this information. This was reported on May 6 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

We are talking about the top manager Lorna Heidini. The lawsuit filed by 35-year-old Chirayu Rana claims that his boss actually made him her sex slave: forced him to have sexual intercourse, gave him Viagra and drugs, and threatened to destroy his professional career.

WSJ journalists, citing sources, write that Rana did not go to court immediately. First, he requested compensation from JPMorgan in the amount of more than $ 20 million, threatening otherwise to make the story public through the media. In response, the financial institution offered him $1 million — on condition that he keep his accusations secret. By that time, an internal audit had already been conducted, and the bank had found no evidence to support the man's version.

The newspaper El Pais reported on April 20 that 3,081 cases of harassment by priests had been registered in the structures of the Spanish Catholic Church. In 1940-2026, 1,613 clergy members were involved in crimes, which is 1.46% of the total number of clergy in the country during this period.
