Memorial plaque in honor of the rock band Agatha Christie opened in Yekaterinburg

On May 8, a commemorative plaque in honor of the legendary rock band Agatha Christie appeared in Yekaterinburg, it was unveiled on the facade of the building of the Institute of Radio Electronics and Information Technology.

This is a landmark place for the entire rock culture of Russia. Vadim Samoilov, the founder of Agatha Christie, conducted a unique tour for students and journalists. He talked about the rehearsals, the first recordings and concerts.

"A feeling of deep gratitude to people, partners, friends, and the leadership of the UPI. There is a lot that was born in UPI, and culturally, "Agatha Christie". And the fact that this is a reason to be proud is good," Samoilov stressed.

Agatha Christie was founded in 1984, and a little later an association called the Sverdlovsk Rock Club appeared. It organized festivals and, in fact, gave a ticket to the big stage to several more cult groups. In 2026, the legendary venue turned 40 years old.

On April 6, Samoilov performed a concert in front of the military personnel of the Center group of forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Mikhail Ryabov, a member of the Mordor group, also sang in front of the fighters. In front of a full hall of Russian fighters, the musicians performed the well-known and familiar songs of "Agatha Christie". Among them is the song "Never", which also sounds in the finale of the film "Brother—2".
