As a result of the crash of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had a fire at a house in Kaluga. This was announced on May 8 by Governor Vladislav Shapsha.

"After the UAV crashed on the outskirts of Kaluga, a country house caught fire," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the fire was eliminated. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The governor added that the air defense forces destroyed seven Ukrainian drones over the territories of the Borovsky municipal district and the outskirts of Kaluga and Obninsk.

The Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, Mikhail Evraev, announced on the same day that air defense and electronic warfare (EW) systems had repelled a night attack by Ukrainian UAVs on Yaroslavl. It was clarified that the threat of repeated attacks remains.
