The number of drones trying to attack Moscow has reached 20
After the destruction of another unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by the air defense forces The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on approach to Moscow, the number of downed drones increased to 20. This was announced on May 8 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
"One UAV was destroyed," says a post on the Maks messenger.
It is specified that emergency services are working at the crash site.
Earlier in the day, Sobyanin reported the destruction of three enemy drones, after which air defense systems intercepted five drones. Later, the mayor of Moscow announced the elimination of five more UAVs, and four downed drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also reported. After that, the air defense forces repelled the attack of two more UAVs.
Prior to that, the Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces shot down 95 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory in four hours. The drones were eliminated over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov and Smolensk regions. In addition, drones were intercepted over the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, the Moscow region and over the Azov and Black Seas.
