In Makhachkala, due to a fire at a substation that occurred as a result of a short circuit, over 90 thousand people were left without electricity. This was reported on May 7 on the website of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Dagestan.

"The operational duty shift of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan received information that a fire had occurred at a substation in the city of Makhachkala," the report says.

It is specified that as a result of the incident, the territorial subsystem, 25,974 households and apartment buildings were de-energized. Four specialists and one piece of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.

Later it became known that the power supply had been restored.

On May 7, the press service of the main directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Dagestan reported that a complex of a gas station (gas station) with an area of 250 square meters caught fire in the city of Kaspiysk. Later on the same day, it was reported that firefighters had completely extinguished the fire.
