Real Madrid football club player Federico Valverde got into a fight with teammate Aurelien Tchuameni, as a result of which he lost consciousness and was hospitalized. This was reported on May 7 by the Spanish newspaper Diario AS.
"This is one of the most serious internal incidents in the history of Real Madrid. <...> There was a fight in the locker room between Valverde and Chuameni. <...> Federico hit his head when falling after being punched by Aurelien and suffered a cut, which forced him to go to the hospital," the publication says.
According to the newspaper, the players quarreled on May 6. The next day, Valverde did not shake Tchuameni's hand, arguing that he had told the media about the conflict. During the game, the players "exchanged hard tackles," but the club's coach, Alvaro Arbeloa, did not interfere in any way.
After that, when the athletes returned to the locker room, Tchuameni hit Valverde in the head. The Uruguayan football player fell and got a cut.
