The Moscow Meshchansky District Court has arrested Evgeny Ovcharov, the founder of Parmalogica LLC, in absentia, who is accused of defrauding funds allocated to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to improve computer equipment. This was reported on May 7 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow.

"According to the investigation, Ovcharov and other unidentified persons are accused of embezzling budget funds in the amount of over 800 million rubles allocated to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation for the development of departmental software," the Telegram channel said.

It clarifies that if an entrepreneur is extradited, deported or detained in Russia, he will be detained for two months from the moment of transfer to law enforcement agencies.

On May 6, the Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Tagil finally approved the verdict in the case of embezzlement of almost 320 million rubles allocated for the state defense order. According to the investigation, in the period from March to May 2020, Andrei Vinogradov, a resident of St. Petersburg, created and headed an organized criminal group. The aim of the attackers was to steal funds under the contract of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the construction of an object in Primorsky Krai. Vinogradov was sentenced to five years in a general regime penal colony.
