- Alikhanov announced plans to start supplying import-substituted Ansat by the end of the year.
Certification and the start of serial deliveries of fully import-substituted Ansat light helicopters are scheduled for the end of 2026. This was announced on Thursday, May 7, by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Alikhanov.
"We plan to complete its certification by the end of 2026 and begin serial deliveries to operators who are looking forward to it. The Ansat is now one of the main air ambulance vehicles. This is a very popular car," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The agency's interlocutor clarified that the updated model was developed on the basis of the Ansat-M modification, which passed the certification procedure in 2022. Helicopters of this type have the most spacious cabin in their class and high maneuverability, while the machine remains easy to operate.
Alikhanov added that the aircraft is capable of performing tasks in extreme climatic conditions: the operating temperature range is from -45 to +50 degrees. The technical characteristics allow the helicopter to be used both in the highlands and in conditions of dense urban development.
The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced on the same day that the domestic aviation industry had become fully import-substituted. According to him, the process of switching from foreign components to Russian ones took less than five years. Now, manufacturers will need only one to two months to start delivering aircraft to airlines after receiving the relevant documents.
On November 17, 2025, Izvestia correspondent Igor Kaporikov showed footage from the Dubai Airshow 2025 international airshow, which was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). At that time, the import-substituted Ansat was introduced to a foreign audience for the first time.
