On the eve of Victory Day, the war drama "Father" about a simple Siberian hunter who volunteers at the front to find his son is being released on wide screens. Actress Alina Nasibullina will make her directorial debut with the folk horror film Shurale. Pavel Ivanov's war drama has already won the Audience Award at the 48th Moscow International Film Festival, and is now being released nationally. The action takes place in the midst of the Great Patriotic War. The hero of the film, Siberian hunter Gavriil Sobinov, goes to the front as a volunteer after learning that he has gone missing. Without giving up hope of finding him, his father becomes a first-class sniper and takes care of a group of young fighters, for whom he becomes not a stranger.

The directorial debut of actress Alina Nasibullina, inspired by Tatar folklore. The film was presented at the 48th Moscow International Film Festival in the program "Russian Premieres". The mystical thriller became a kind of continuation of the idea of the video for the song "Pyala" by the duo "Aigel", shot by Nasibullina. The track became one of the main themes of the TV series "The Word of a Kid" that was making a lot of noise in 2023. As if on purpose, the director took Ruzil Minekaev, the star of the project, into her film. Nasibullina has collected a strong cast for a full meter. Her husband, the Husky rapper, is also here.

Poetess Aisha lives in Moscow and is preparing for a wedding, but a sudden call about the disappearance of her brother Timur forces her to return to her native Tatar village. It turns out that he worked at a sawmill and participated in cutting down a Sacred grove, a place where, according to legend, the spirit of the Shurale dwells. Plunging into the atmosphere of childhood fears and ancient rituals, Aisha realizes that Timur's disappearance is not connected with the criminal world, but with the awakening of an ancient force that does not forgive the betrayal of its roots.

The British film adaptation of the children's classic series of books by Enid Blyton "Stories of the Magic Tree".
