United Russia opposed the ban on photo shoots with newborns

On May 7, the United Russia Party opposed initiatives related to the regulation of photo shoots with newborns.

"In United Russia, initiatives to regulate established household practices are considered excessive. In particular, this concerns proposals to regulate photo shoots with newborns," the party's Telegram channel says.

The secretary of the General Council of the party, Vladimir Yakushev, noted that such innovations cause a negative reaction in society. According to him, citizens perceive such proposals as unjustified interference in life.

He stressed that restrictions should be imposed only when it comes to protecting people's lives and health. According to the party, initiatives that do not have sufficient justification and have not been discussed with the public can only "create additional difficulties and cause irritation." United Russia also considers it wrong to propose new bans and regulatory measures without consulting those directly affected by them.

On this day, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, Chairman of the Council of Mothers Tatyana Butskaya noted that it is necessary to introduce mandatory certification of photographers who conduct photo shoots of newborns. The parliamentarian stressed that the poses of babies during the process should be natural. The attributes that come into contact with the child's body must be individual or have a disposable layer.
