On May 5, the theme-themed EP2DM train dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was presented at the CPPK. The presentation of the train took place at the Kiev railway station.

According to the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow region, the train was decorated with St. George's ribbons, carnations and silver cranes. A mobile exhibition with archival photographs and posters dedicated to the heroism of the Soviet people was placed inside, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

Oleg Ulyanov, Deputy General Director of the CPPC, said that more than 80 posters and unique photographs of the war years were placed in the cars. According to him, the train will run on a regular basis and remind passengers of the feat of the Soviet people, writes 360.ru .

The design of the train was prepared jointly with the Victory Museum. Alexander Shkolnik, General Director of the museum, noted that passengers will be able to get acquainted with the atmosphere of the exhibition on Poklonnaya Gora and learn more about the contribution of railway workers, doctors, scientists and cultural figures to the Victory. According to him, the project has become a kind of "living history lesson" combining the past and the present.

The train will run along MCD-4, as well as in the suburbs of Kiev and Gorky directions, Moscow 24 notes.

Earlier on May 7, a study by the VTsIOM Analytical Center showed that two thirds of Russian citizens call Victory Day the most important holiday. The survey was conducted on April 17, 2026, and was attended by 1.6 thousand Russians aged 18 and over. According to the study, Victory Day is the most important holiday for 67% of Russian citizens.
