ATOR announced 70% summer discounts on Maldives hotels

Maldivian hotels have offered Russian tourists significant discounts for the summer season amid a decrease in tourist traffic from European countries. This was announced on May 7 on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

The PAC Group tour operator explained that seasonal cost drops are a common practice for the resort, but in 2026, pricing was additionally influenced by a geopolitical factor. According to the company, the average discount on accommodation now ranges from 20% to 40%, while in some facilities discounts reach 50-70%.

The most loyal pricing policy is carried out by four- and five-star hotels. Intourist clarified that premium resorts often combine tariff reductions with the provision of additional services. At the same time, budget hotels reduce the cost of living with greater care, trying to maintain the profitability of the business.

According to ATOR, at the end of spring, luxury hotels supplement discounts with special bonuses. The offers include free nights, meals and accommodation for children, as well as upgrading the food category to an all-inclusive system. In addition, some resorts completely cancel transfer fees or provide discounts on flights within the archipelago, including seaplane flights.
