Lufthansa may need to refuel its planes in Russia. This was announced on May 6 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"Lufthansa may eventually refuel in Moscow, as it is forced to consider the possibility of refueling in transit zones," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Dmitriev commented on Western media reports that Germany's leading airline Lufthansa may introduce refueling stops on some flights in the event of a serious shortage of jet fuel.
