Goalkeeper of Zenit football club Mikhail Kerzhakov will leave the club after the end of the 2025/26 season. This was announced on May 6 by the press service of the St. Petersburg team.

"The 2025/26 season is Kerzhakov's final season as a blue-white-blue football player," the team's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that in this regard, Zenit's final home match at Gazprom Arena will be dedicated to the goalkeeper's send-off. The match of the season against Sochi will be held on May 19 as part of the 29th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

Kerzhakov played 138 matches for the St. Petersburg club in all tournaments, in 54 of which he kept his goal intact. The goalkeeper also played for Ulyanovsk "Volga", "Alania", Nizhny Novgorod "Volga", "Anzhi" and "Orenburg", adds "Газета.Ru ".

In March, former CSKA Moscow and Brazil striker Wagner Love announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 41. He defended the colors of the "red-blue" from 2004 to 2011 (with loan breaks), and returned to the club in 2013.
