After repairs, the burial of 569 Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of Hungary in 1945 was opened in the Hungarian village of Tsetse on May 6.
At the opening ceremony, Russian Ambassador to Hungary Yevgeny Stanislavov recalled that in early March 1945, during the final stage of Hungary's liberation from Nazi occupation, fierce fighting took place in the vicinity of Tsetse, which became part of the large-scale Balaton defensive operation, RIA Novosti reports.
