The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV, which was seized from a convict in a corruption case, was transferred to the needs of a special military operation. This was reported on May 6 by the Federal Bailiff Service for the Moscow Region.

"Bailiffs from the Moscow region have successfully tracked down, arrested and transferred to the ownership of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the needs of their own premium-class car, which was confiscated by court order," the agency wrote on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the Mercedes previously belonged to a high-ranking railroad official who oversaw the construction. He received the car as a bribe and was later arrested for it.

On April 10, Dmitry Daudashvili, the former deputy head of the special fire department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who was convicted of bribery, asked the court to send him to serve in the SVR zone. According to the state prosecution, the man received bribes for patronage in the service from the head of the 36th special directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Altai Territory, Viktor Velikodny.
