Doctors in Moscow removed an open pin from the nose of a two-year-old child
Doctors at the Bashlyaeva Children's Hospital rescued a two-year-old boy with an open pin stuck in his nose. This was announced on Wednesday, May 6, by the Moscow Department of Health.
The child was admitted to the clinic after the object ended up in the nasal cavity, and the parents' attempt to remove it at home only complicated the situation: the pin opened and bleeding began, the website writes. kp.ru .
Doctors noted that in such cases, independent actions are dangerous, so it is necessary to immediately contact specialists, IA Regnum clarifies. The foreign body got stuck in the soft tissues, and the otorhinolaryngologists performed the operation under anesthesia using endoscopic equipment, Moscow 24 notes. Now the child has already been discharged and is under supervision at home.
The head of the department, Anna Tsareva, stressed that if a foreign object gets into the nose, you should not try to remove it yourself — this can lead to serious complications, including getting into the respiratory tract, so it is important to seek medical help as soon as possible, the Moscow City News agency reports.
