In Sevastopol, experts are cleaning monuments from dust and dirt. The work is carried out on the eve of Victory Day.

Many of the city's monuments have the status of cultural heritage sites, so special requirements are applied to their processing in order to preserve their historical value, writes IA SevastopolMedia with reference to the regional government.

According to Sergey Plottsev, deputy director of Parks and Squares, we have to use only water and soft brushes. No chemicals are used to avoid damaging the monuments.

The work is carried out in two stages: first, the monuments are washed with pressurized water to remove the main impurities, and then they are manually brushed. This guarantees care and efficiency, the agency notes.

In Sevastopol, flower beds are also being renovated, memorials are being put in order, and thematic installations are being installed in public spaces.

Earlier, on May 6, a rehearsal of the aerial part of the Victory Day Parade took place in Moscow. The aerobatic team painted the sky over the capital in the colors of the flag of the Russian Federation. Prior to that, on May 5, Izvestia also published footage of the Victory Day Parade rehearsal on Red Square. Participants with the Russian flag, Victory Banner and weapons ran in formation along the street of the capital.
