On May 6, a light-engine Aeroprakt-22 aircraft crashed in the Omsk region. As a result of the accident, two people on board were killed. The circumstances of the incident
The incident occurred on May 6 at about 13:00 local time (10:00 Moscow time) near the village of Koshkarevo in the Azov German National District of the Omsk region. The Aeroprakt-22 light-engine aircraft operated by Aviabaza LLC crashed while performing aviation work.
Izvestia published footage from the crash site. The place was cordoned off by law enforcement officers. The plane turned over during the crash and fell onto the roof. The front of the aircraft is completely crumpled, the wings are deformed.
The dead
There were two people on board the plane. Both died in the crash. Information about their identities has not been received at the moment.
The reaction of law enforcement agencies
The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office also organized an inspection for compliance with flight safety legislation. Aidar Almukhamedov, Acting Omsk Transport Prosecutor, went to the crash site.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of an aircraft, resulting in the death of two or more persons"). An investigative team went to the scene of the incident.
