Convicted dishwasher for involving cadet in terrorism received 19 years in prison
The Second Western District Military Court sentenced former dishwasher Alexandra Zhitenko (listed as a terrorist in the Russian Federation) to 19 years in prison in the case of involving a cadet of the Cadet Corps in a terrorist organization. This was reported on May 6 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
She was also fined 800 thousand rubles.
According to the case file, Zhitenko is charged with facilitating terrorist activities, participating in them and attempting to involve a minor in committing a crime. She did not admit her guilt.
While working as a dishwasher at an educational institution, Zhitenko formed a negative attitude towards military personnel participating in a special military operation (SVO), representatives of law enforcement agencies, and discussed with him the ideology and activities of the Legion of Freedom of Russia (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation).
On May 5, a correspondent of Izvestia reported from the hall of the Second Western District Military Court that the state prosecution was asking for 20 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony and a fine of 1 million rubles for Alexandra Zhitenko (listed as a terrorist in the Russian Federation) in the case of involving a cadet of the Cadet Corps in a terrorist organization.
