A group of four Ukrainian agents was detained in the Zaporizhia region.

In the Zaporizhia region, employees of the regional FSB department detained a group of four agents of the Ukrainian special services. This was reported on May 6 in the press service of the department.

According to the investigation, four residents of Energodar — two men and two women — collaborated with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The detainees participated in the illegal trafficking of components for the manufacture of an improvised explosive device (IED), which was intended to commit high-profile crimes.

One of the group members received assignments from the curators over the Internet via the Telegram messenger, after which he passed the information on to the others. During the operation, a TNT block, an electric detonator and a remote detonator were seized from a cache in the region.

Security officials uncovered the criminals' plans and detained one of the community members while transporting IED components by car. Subsequently, the entire group was exposed. Criminal cases have been initiated under articles on treason and the illegal acquisition and sale of explosives.

Community members have already confessed. Currently, operational search activities and investigative actions are ongoing.
